The Struggling One Hundred Days

ULEE Lheue, Banda Aceh, 100 days after the tsunami. A woman, an open umbrella in her hands, stands transfixed on the ruins of her brother's house. A sudden gust of wind pushes and partly folds her umbrella gaily colored in a combination of flowery motifs of purple, white, and cream. Since the tsunami hit the area on December 26 last year, she has yet to recover the body of her brother lost in the devastation. Tears fall from her eyes.
