    DAYS before Idul Fitri my mobile phone was spammed by messages from people asking for forgiveness for all the bad things they might have done, and waxing lyrical about the joy of purifying oneself from all sins.

    Nothing wrong with this of course, except that quite a lot of the messages were from people I dont really know or have regular contact with, which made me suspect that for some reason they had my number in their
