Policing the Pilkada

HOW many policemen are needed to safeguard Acehs regional heads elections (Pilkada)? According to Nanggoe Aceh Darussalam (NAD) Police Chief, Insp. Gen. Bahrumsyah, the region needs about a 14,000-strong police force when the Pilkada gets underway. Now Aceh has already had 11,500, meaning a shortage of around 2,000 policemen, said Bahrumsyah last week.
