IN Kampung Pulo, within Citeureup village in the Bogor district, Tan Im Yang is the caretaker of a Confucian religious prayer house that belongs to the Indonesian Council of Confucian Religion (Makin). As a Jiao Se or Confucian priest, 58-year-old Im Yang has many stories about the plight of Indonesian Confucians over the years.
