Bali, which is usually nicknamed Pulau Seribu Pura, Island of One Thousand Temples, is perhaps now better called Pulau Seribu Judi, Island of One Thousand Gamblers. One can now find almost any kind of traditional and modern gambling there. Cockfights, prohibited in the past, are now in regular operation once more, and some figures of society even proudly claim in public to be bebotoh, traditional gamblers.
