IN Usk, the name Alfred Russel Wallace has virtually been forgotten. The inhabitants of this small town in Monmouthshire in South Wales shake their heads or shrug their shoulders when asked about Wallace, the Llanbadoc Monument or Kensington Cottage where Wallace once lived.
