An exile is one expelled. Exiles live outside their own countries, cast out, like dozens of Indonesians who could not go home after 1965 because their passports had been seized for no clear reason. Exiles basically live in unfinished journeying to anywhere; holding within them a country that is never forgotten yet must be left behind, while at the same time finding another country that now becomes an address but never a homecoming.
