I SAW New York on September 11, 2001. Until late at night, the city was enveloped in depression and shock, grieving and fear. People everywhere were in shock. The world was moved: they wanted to befriend that city, along with the thousands of lit candles on the street corners, as though they wanted to join the search for those who did not return from the rubble.
