IN every market there is always the non-market. And it is needed. There are the trees that offer shade to the portable street stalls. There are the communal wells in back yards. There are the communal urinals. And just nearby, there are the highways with their traffic signs.
All these support the life of the market, even though they are not part of what the market and its activity drives: no one can claim the trees, the toilets, and the traffic
