SINCE Mary discovered the empty tomb, saw Jesus standing behind her and cried 'Rabboni', and ever since the Teacher appeared before several disciples gathered in a locked room, and subsequently made other appearances, Christianity has celebrated Easter as the day of resurrection: the crucified dead body rose from the dead. He is eternal.
Arab Christians of Nazareth sometimes refer to Easter as , 'd al-Qiymah, the 'festival of the resurrection'.
