The Cockerel

One day around the year of 1650, Amangkurat I, the ruler of Mataram, received a unique gift: a cockerel of the type called bekisar, a cross between a bantam hen and a jungle rooster. The person who proffered the gift was none other than his own uncle, Prince Surabaya.
The cockerel not only had beautiful colored plumage. According to the Babad Tanah Jawi, Prince Surabaya told the King
