I have seen too much hate

A few months after saying this, Martin Luther King Jr was asassinated, at around six in the evening of April 4, 1968. As King, who was at the forefront of the Civil Rights movement in America, stood on the balcony outside his room at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis Tennessee, a bullet hit his chin and severed his spine. He was taken to hospital but nothing could be done. He was 39 years old.
