Writers, even when they are famous Sufi poets, cannot subjugate their readers.
When in 1540 Malik Muhammad Jayasi composed Padmaavat in the Awadhi language, he would never have imagined, let alone predicted, the Hindu anger in the 21st century because of his poem. Times are indeed different, mediums change.
