SABARIAHS brick kiln, which is located at Desa Meunasah Papen, Barona Jaya, in Greater Aceh, is expanding to meet growing demand. Orders increased five times since the tsunami, said the 37-year-old brick maker.
Sabariah uses wood to fire his kiln. He bought the wood, mostly leftovers from construction sites and unused tree trunks, from suppliers at a cost of between Rp100,000 and Rp400,000 a cubic meter.
