ON Sunday morning, May 21, the Dayan Dawood Building in Aceh virtually served as an arena of reunion for hundreds of Free Aceh Movement (GAM) figures. From 8am, GAM Prime Minister Malik Mahmud and Foreign Minister Zaini Abdullah were to be found talking in the complex of Syiah Kuala University. Also present were former Aceh military commander Muzakir Manaf and GAM spokesman in Aceh, Sofyan Dawood.
