KARINA, a first-year student at Banda Acehs State Junior High School (SMP) 2, is a winner. The wave painting of this little girl, a tsunami victim, won her recognition and a scholarship from the Rome-based foundation Ponte Di Archimede International.
The good news came from Italy late in September 2006. This 11-year-old SMP student won a painting competition and was awarded a scholarship worth 10,000 euros to finance her studies up until college.
