Candidates Fail Quran Recital Test

AT least 17 candidates for Aceh leaders, from governor/deputy governor, regents/deputy regents down to mayors/deputy mayors, have been declared to have flunked the test in reading the Quran. Ability to recite the Quran is one of the requirements to become candidates for the regional heads elections (Pilkada) in Aceh.
