A number of suspects in the illegal logging case at Mount Leuser National Park have been acquitted, although the structures and equipment belonging to them were clearly at the site of the National Park.

IN the detention room of the Public Prosecutors Office of Kutacane, Southeast Aceh, Haj Muhammad Nyakoeb now spends most of his time absorbed in thought. The director of the CV Putra Selatan Kluet company is undergoing investigation by the Public Prosecutors Office for stealing wood in the Mount Leuser National Park. Nyakoeb was on the run for one year before he turned himself to the police last October.
