THESE words from Hikayat Perang Sabil (The Story of the Holy War) were sung by a 20-member student vocal group. On stage the group performed before a crowd of 5,000 enthusiastic Acehnese on that Thursday afternoon, February 8, 2007.
The scene was a public festivity to welcome the inauguration of Irwandi Yusuf and Muhammad Nazar respectively as Governor and Deputy Governor of Aceh.
