Usually villagers drink squeezed guava leaves if they are vomiting or when they are seeking inspiration. From this traditional remedy, Dr Soeprapto Ma'at, a chemist who is involved in herbal medicines, has been carrying out clinical trials on the benefits of these leaves since five years ago.
