Presidential candidates go on campaign with private jets and chartered planes.

A FOKKER-28 sat on the apron of the Halim Perdanakusuma Airport on Friday last week. The 65-seater plane was named Athirah after presidential hopeful Jusuf Kalla’s mother. “Yes, the plane belongs to Pak Kalla for use in his campaign for President,” a source close to Kalla told Tempo.
Kalla’s campaign team denied the report. “No, Pak Kalla has no plane of his own, but he does have a helicopter,” said spokesman Poempida Hidayatullah.
