Fitrah’s Story

On September 30, 2009, photographer Muhammad Fitrah, 40, of the daily Singgalang was climbing up the stairs to his fourth-floor office at Jalan Veteran when the earthquake struck. As soon as he could, he rushed out with his cameras, to come face-to-face with a devastated topsy-turvy world. A loud roar resonated from somewhere near.
