Tsunami Warning Bells

An SMS (short message service) interrupted the morning hours of Kusmayanto Kadiman. The State Minister for Research and Technology was attending the first-year commemoration of the tsunami tragedy at the end of last month. Kusmayanto promptly took his cell-phone out of his trouser pocket. Almost at the same time, West Sumatra Deputy Governor Marlis Rahman and Padang Mayor Fauzi Bahar, who sat on both sides of the minister, made the same movement.
