Indonesia-China diplomatic relations are 60 years old this year. There was a long interruption following the fall of Sukarno and the rise of Suharto to power. Today, economic interests are the priority. China, which has opened itself up to capitalism, will soon become an economic giant. Sukarno

April 13, 1950: Indonesia-China diplomatic relations begin.

April 18-24, 1955: China’s Prime Minister Zhou Enlai and his delegation attend the Asia-Africa Conference in Bandung. In the same year, Zhou Enlai pays an official visit to Indonesia.

September 1956:  President Sukarno makes a return visit to China. In Shanghai, Sukarno stresses the importance of comrades in arms and describes China as a model country and an inspiration t
