ROSLISHAM Ismail, a roving artist from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, was rather shocked when he first took part in a residency program at Ruang Rupa six years ago. He expected this program to be like similar programs which invite an artist to live in one place and create his work. He was wrong.
