THE atmosphere in the four-story building with its slightly greenish-hued glass walls was not the usual on campuses. There were no students hanging about or walking around. Student life was only apparent once one entered the main building.
The students, it appeared, preferred to hang out in the relaxing passages in front of their classes where the floors are always shining and where there are soft sofas and the air is cooled by air-conditioners.
