ONE afternoon on January 21, 1974, Sukarya, editor of Indonesia Raya daily, received a phone call from journalists of Abadi and KAMI papers, which had their printing licenses (SIC) revoked. Sukarya also typed it into a report. Chief Editor Victor Sihite suggested that the information be checked with the Security and Order Restoration Command (Kopkamtib) chief, and as a favor, to get additional information on the fate of other media organizations.
