JOKO Widodo just chuckled at the question-when did he first ask Iriana out? With flushed faces, the couple gazed at each other, seemingly communicating in code as to who should first respond. Iriana took the initiative. "How am I supposed to answer, tell me that? Until now he has never declared his love," she said, nudging her husband's arm.
Once again Joko chuckled, glancing at his wife. "Imagine, not once has he ever said 'I love you'," Iriana pouted. Jokowi burst out laughing. Embracing his wife, the Jakarta governor now running for president gave a short reply. "Didn't I just say it?"
