The searing heat could not stop Vanda from enjoying a walk to the garden on Tuesday last week. Mango, Singapore almond, fiddle-leaf fig, taro and tanjung trees (Mimusops elengi) lined her walk.
"This park is our favorite, because it is close to home. There are lush trees, so the kids can stay out of the heat," said Vanda, a resident of the Kebayoran Terrace housing complex in Bintaro Jaya, South Tangerang, Banten.
