THE opening scene of this film shows a nude woman with her back to the camera, walking towards the sea. The next sequence depicts a funeral scene that is delayed because a woman, who has recently lost her husband, firmly tells the mourners that they must wait for her daughter to arrive from abroad before they can bury her husband. The camera follows the movements of the characters as they move around among the waiting guests.
