One morning on the slope of Mount Tidar some 34 years ago. Two eyes were fixed on a cadet with a sturdy body playing a big drum in the marching band of the cadets of the Academy of the Indonesian Armed Forces (Akabri). This drum player moved his body flexibly and dynamically in tune with the marching rhythm. "At that time I could sense his integrity and leadership," Sudi Silalahi told Tempo last week.
