WHEN putting up a building, we usually become nature’s enemies. Owing to the small area of land, for example, we put up a building without a yard. Adi Purnomo, however, is an architect who is friendly with nature. For him, the most fundamental feature of tropical architecture is how to make use of sunlight or humidity. He always considers the small plots of land in a metropolitan city as a challenge to create new spaces.
