AS of Friday last week, Muhammad Mu'tashim Billah, 58, the head of the Ad Hoc Team of Peace Monitors in Aceh from the National Commission on Human Rights (KomnasHAM), had still not taken off the black cloth that masked his mouth. In fact for over a week the cloth (which actually comes from the accessories on one of his wife's gowns) always accompanied him whenever he was being interviewed by the media.
