THE brown earth in the tibe, placed under streaming water, turned into mud and poured down into a black bucket below. The mud in the basin made out of coconut shell with an outer layer of rubber tire gradually disappeared. All that was left were pebbles and a small amount of yellowish sand.

That yellow sand is the source of conflict that is happening in the Bogani Nani Wartabona National Park in the land of Totabuan Bolaang Mongondow, North Sula
