THIRTY-FIVE delegates from 34 countries and one from the UNFCCC attending the informal ministerial meeting on climate change at the Bogor Palace on October 24-25, 2007, agreed to support the creation of a new protocol­ af­ter the Kyoto Protocol, which will expire in 2012. “The new protocol has to be promptly finalized in 2009,” UNFCCC Executive Secretary, Yvoe de Boer, told the press.
