Tax Law Revision
Indonesia will lose Rp 4 trillion in income during the first year the revised Tax Law goes into effect. The decline in tax revenue is due to the raised level of untaxed income (PTKP) from Rp2.8 million to Rp12 million. Besides, the government has lowered some tax rates, such as those of income tax (from 30 percent to 25 percent) and dividend tax—from 20 percent to half the level.
