MASYUMI was born on August 7, 1945, when the Japanese launched its defense in the Pacific War. In his book (Bulan Sabit dan Matahari Terbit), Harry J. Benda saw that Japan gave its blessings for the establishment of an Islamic organization, hoping that Islamic forces would side with them in the war.
