Novel Baswedan does not believe that the three accidents he incurred were mere coincidences. He was involved in two collisions and one case of a mistaken hitandrun. In two separate traffic accidents, Novel fell off his motorcycle. Fortunately, this chief investigator from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) received only minor injuries.

The most recent incident occurred when Novel was handling two major cases in the middle of last year.
