THE discussion on what was seen as a plot to derail Anies Baswedan’s presidential candidacy reportedly dominated a meeting hosted by National Democrat (NasDem) Party General Chairman Surya Paloh at his private island, Kaliage, Thousand Islands, on May 26. It was nine days since the Attorney General’s Office (AGO) had detained former Communication and Informatics Minister Johnny Gerard Plate.

The Kaliage meeting had been sought by Dem
