COORDINATING Minister for the Economy Hatta Rajasa bowed to greet Japan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Makiko Kikuta at the Borobudur Hotel in Jakarta last Thursday. Dressed in black clothing with a motif of white flowers, she responded with ojigi—bowing her body as a sign of respect. The two began chatting as they walked toward the Sumba room on the third floor.
