Unappealing Palm Oil DMO

The government again revises its domestic market obligation regulation. The rule has been ineffective in guaranteeing the supply of cheap cooking oil.

IN late April, the trade ministry announced a revision to its domestic market obligation (DMO) regulation for crude palm oil. On May 1, the government lowered the DMO from 450,000 tons to 300,000 tons per month.
