PNM Organizes a Training to Help Ultra Micro Customers Get the NIB

PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) is increasingly active in empowering and assisting the ultra-micro PNM women or Mekaar customers through the Business Capacity Development (PKU) program. The training was held in the Banyuwangi area, East Java, on August 11, 2022.

Not only training, participants get a Certificate of Business Identification Number (NIB) by joining the handover of NIB to the Micro and Small Business (UMK) actors with a total of 750 participants who are MSMEs in Banyuwangi. With the NIB certificate, PNM customers’ business legality is guaranteed so they can prosper their families.

Based on data from the Ministry of Investment/BKPM, as of August 8, 2022 at 09.00 WIB, a total of 1,676,153 NIBs had been successfully issued through the OSS system throughout Indonesia.

Of this figure, as many as 98 percent are NIB UMK actors and 2 percent are medium and large business actors. Meanwhile, specifically in East Java Province, as many as 246,623 NIBs had been successfully issued, or 14.71 percent of the total NIBs had been successfully issued. Meanwhile, Banyuwangi Regency recorded that the issuance of NIB for Individual Micro Small Business Actors was the second largest in East Java, with 14,285 NIB.

"Indeed, the foundation of our national economic growth is MSMEs. Of the total business units, 99.3 percent or 64 million are MSMEs. So, of the total NIB, is surely MSMEs (which dominate)," said the Minister of Investment of the Republic of Indonesia, Bahlil Lahadalia.

Until August 9, 2022, PNM has distributed financing of Rp134.25 trillion to PNM Mekaar's customers, totaling 12.39 million customers. Currently, PNM has 3,500 PNM Mekaar service offices and 688 PNM ULaMM service offices throughout Indonesia, serving MSEs in 34 provinces, 422 regencies/cities, and 5,640 sub-districts.

The event was attended by the Minister of Investment of the Republic of Indonesia, Bahlil Lahadalia, Banyuwangi Regent, Ipuk Fiestiandani, Deputy for Capital Services, Achmad Idrus, Abdullah Azwar Anas as Head of the Government Goods/Services Procurement Policy Institute, and other related parties.
