The Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, Erick Thohir, continues to strive to improve people's welfare through the programs in State-Owned Enterprises. One of them is through PNM Mekaar (Membina Ekonomi Keluarga Sejahtera, Fostering a Prosperous Family Economy) which is focused on women entrepreneurs, including the wives of BUMN workers.

"Women who want to start a business or want to expand their business can get a capital loan of IDR 1 million to 4 million without collateral from the Mekaar program," said the 3rd Special Staff to the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, Arya Sinulingga, during an activity with SOE workers' families on Thursday, February 9, 2023, in Banyuwangi, which was attended by more than 350 workers' families from Perkebunan Nusantara XII, ASDP, Pelindo and Angkasa Pura II.

PNM Mekaar has become one of the pillars of the Indonesian economy because the lowest level is provided with financing to run or start a business. This program does not require collateral like other capital services and the capital provided uses a joint responsibility system.

To date, in Banyuwangi, the Mekaar PNM Program has financed more than 150,000 women, encouraging an increase in the number of independent women in Indonesia. “That is like opening new jobs for women, such as making cakes, opening a grocery shop, and other businesses. Now women can be independent and help their husbands," said Arya.

PNM has been consistently supporting the economy and has distributed financing of IDR 208.35 trillion to 14,128,133 million customers as of January 31, 2023. Currently, PNM has 3,551 PNM Mekaar service offices and 705 PNM ULaMM service offices throughout Indonesia serving MSMEs in 34 provinces, 513 regencies/cities, and 6,657 districts.
