FOR almost a decade, Tiza Mafira has endeavored to reduce usage of single-use plastics. This environmental activist started her battle against plastic waste in 2013 when, together with her colleagues, she launched the online petition “Pay for Plastic” with the hashtag pay4plastic on Change.org.
