Baleo...baleo...baleo...!

THE shouts indicating the arrival of a whale were piercing through sweltering Lamalera. Their echoes were reverberating throughout the entire fishing village on the Island of Lembata, East Nusa Tenggara. People on the beach started to look to a distant spot in the sea where a 5-meter-high fountain was spouting up. That was the sign of the presence of a giant sea mammal.
