MIGRANT workers’ plight became a hot topic amid reports that a huge number of workers had suffered abuse and death at an immigration detention center in Sabah, Malaysia. The fact-finding team of the Coalition of Sovereign Migrant Workers (KBMB) eventually got hold of the data of the 149 deceased workers. They then held protests in front of the Malaysian embassy in Jakarta.
