Few people know of Major General (ret) Moeng Parhadimoejo. But within the Indonesian Military, particularly within the Special Forces Command (Kopassus), Moeng is a familiar figure. A 1953 graduate of the Ranger Course at Fort Benning, Georgia, USA, Moeng is one of the founders of Kopassus. He was instrumental in designing the various forms of combat training for the Red Beret commandos.
