In a controversial verdict, the Supreme Court has cut Tommy Suhartos prison sentence from 15 to 10 years.

TOMMY Suhartos pursuit of freedom from Indonesias maximum security Nusakambangan Prison may have ended. Last Friday, the Supreme Court handed down its verdict after a request for judicial review was filed by the eldest son of Indonesias former president Suharto. Chaired by Supreme Court Chief Justice Bagir Manan, the panel rejected Tommys request.

However, in a controversial move, the court decided to reduce Tommys prison sentence to just 10 year
