After the Corruption Court sentenced former BI Governor Burhanuddin Abdullah to five years in prison, the KPK declared Aulia Pohan a suspect. Some documents—and also witnesses—indeed mention the involvement of this father-in-law of President Yudhoyono’s child in the alleged misappropriation of Rp100 billion owned by the Indonesian Banking Development Foundation.

AULIA Pohan disappeared without a trace. Since his suspect status was determined on Wednesday last week, his whereabouts have been unknown. On Wednesday and Thursday, journalists were waiting at his residence in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta. But the ex-Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI) did not show up. On Friday last week, being awaited almost until midnight, Aulia was not seen either. “He is not at home,” said a house guard to Tempo.
