They were tortured to confess to a crime they had not committed: the murder of Muhammad Asrori. Later it was found that Asrori was the victim of the serial killer Very Idam Henyansah. The East Java Regional Police Division for Security & Professionalism already questioned 15 police officers who were allegedly involved in the wrongful arrest. But two of the three victims of the wrongful arrest, Imam Hambali and Devid Eko Priyanto, who were released in early December, have chosen to forget about the case.
